Future Agenda Topics

  • discussion on how the indexing and searching works: Carl gave Selina the search indexes (advanced search fields in DOME) and she also added this to wiki (click here) How do these indexes work?  Beverly to add to Operations team agenda to investigate this - action(tick)
  • BPL/OCA Exchange regarding Adding URLS to your Catalog: ex:We are creating what we are calling "clearinghouse" pages for all multi-volume works because there was a decision to not have many 856 links in our catalog record. This is created through a series of convoluted steps in Access, but an example of what we are doing is at http://library.getty.edu/cgi-bin/Pwebrecon.cgi?BBID=814747- this will take you to the catalog record that has a link to the "Getty Research Institute digitized version: t. 1-64 (1876-1908)". You will see that we also link out to another digitized version that is not of our particular set - unfortunately in this case the link appears to be broken, but you get the idea. I don't think that we have yet linked to an IA book that we don't own a physical version of, but I suspect that it may only be a matter of time.
  • Discuss Energy Reports as an example of which questions Preservation Services needs to ask for every research pub project/every project.(tick)
  • How should the Research Publications workflow start.  How does a new research publication project get introduced to the Digital Operations Team?(star)
