BPL/OCA Exchange regarding Adding URLS to your Catalog: ex:We are creating what we are calling "clearinghouse" pages for all multi-volume works because there was a decision to not have many 856 links in our catalog record. This is created through a series of convoluted steps in Access, but an example of what we are doing is at http://library.getty.edu/cgi-bin/Pwebrecon.cgi?BBID=814747- this will take you to the catalog record that has a link to the "Getty Research Institute digitized version: t. 1-64 (1876-1908)". You will see that we also link out to another digitized version that is not of our particular set - unfortunately in this case the link appears to be broken, but you get the idea. I don't think that we have yet linked to an IA book that we don't own a physical version of, but I suspect that it may only be a matter of time.
