Dear Professor Newman,

I recently joined Ohio State to establish a new institute in science and technology policy research. Some of the most interesting research going on in this field relates to modeling scientific and technological innovation as complex systems. Large scale data mining and network analysis are two areas of research that are rapidly emerging as some of the most important in this field. It occurs to me that you may have a student who is interested in continuing research in this direction as a post-doc at the Battelle Center/Ohio State. Please see the job posting below, and let me know if you have someone to recommend. Thank you for considering this opportunity.
