Masks: 

To get a plastic mask (min feature size = 10um), you just have to email the file with the design of the mask to the printing 

company below:

They accept .dxf files. A simple program to prepare dxf file is attached (clewin3.rar). An example of a mask is also attached: mask.dxf

Clean Room: 

In order to get access to MTL (http://mtlweb.mit.edu/index.html services), you must register using the MUMMS registration form (http://mtlweb.mit.edu/services/fabrication/register.html).

Before you start registration, please make sure that:

-You have a MIT email address.

-You know the MTL services to which you need access (most likely EML).

-You have an MIT account number (cost object).

In the MUMMS registration: 

- Select: I need access to the main fabrication facilities.

- Check: Access to EML facilities. 

- Select: Polymers under Research Material.

- Provide Cost object, Supervisor name, Kerberos name. 

After that you have to complete the following prerequisites:

  • CHP Form Sign Off - You have signed off on the CHP agreement. 
  • Computer account creation approval - Your compute account has been approved by MTL staff. Note, however, that you cannot log into MTL computers unless you have an active Compute Access service.
  • MTL Safety Quiz - You have completed your EHS MTL Safety Quiz requirements. To view your EHS status, go to the EHS Training Page.
  • Managing Hazardous Waste - Your EHS Managing Hazardous Waste compliance is out of date. To view your EHS status, go to the EHS Training Page.
  • Chemical Hygiene - You have completed your EHS Chemical Hygiene requirements. To view your EHS status, go to the EHS Training Page.
  • Hydrofluoric Acid - You have completed your EHS Hydrofluoric Acid requirements. To view your EHS status, go to the EHS Training Page.
