Creating this over a month after this test, but the main takeaways:
- We were off to a very late start, most team members were up until 3am the day of the test troubleshooting issues and performing the dry run. As a result, we departed campus at about 9:45am (including a 1 hour delay because we didn't check our Dunkin order until we were 20 minutes out).
- We got to the site at about 11:30am, got a quick tour of the site, and had to sort out unloading as well as getting the test stand to the pad (and them drilling holes into the concrete to secure the stand with screws). By the time this was done I think it was about 2 or 3 pm.
- There were issues with the prop for the load cell on the fuel tank and the PLA support for the tank snapped on transit to bluShift so we had to use a worm screw clamp.
- We got as far as the purging set-up for the SOP, there were issues with the fill system, pretty big leaks in the check valves for the press system
- Although there wasn't much progress on the SOP, we learned a lot with operating and setting up the system on-site as well as gaining familiarity with operating there.
