General:
- did start of term default version updates
- shut off many obsolete lockers; had ops delete some
- tested major Athena apps on new Linux dialups (all work OK)
- asked r3-admin where updated SAP Java client can be found. Waiting...
- ongoing work with Prof. Modiano in Aero-Astro to try to find a way to
provide AMPL/CPLEX to his students. Although software is no-cost under
new IBM Academic Initiative program, too many strings are attached for
Athena install; but he can download and distribute to students on his
own. Temporarily extending Athena license with keys sent by IBM rep. Set
up notice explaining this for Athena users
- tested latest attempt to fix Tecplot license server (127.0.1.1
problem). Still broken
- Corrected missing allowed usage terms on Student Matlab download site
- renewed CHEMKIN annual maintenance
- renewed ESRI annual maintenance, checked on current list of tech
contacts. Reminded paheff that we need to execute new license
- wrote and tested installation documentation for Linux VMware
Workstation 7, informed mcneal
- looked into issues with having version-skewed default acroread version
- got award nomination started for SIPB debathena development work,
working with jdreed and Oliver on this
- gave paheff, cgresham thoughts on LabView and Tecplot site licensing
- Working with tfitz on Maya 6 license server issue- he runs it and may
need to shut it down; set up message warning users it may go away
- forwarded potential student Autocad distribution idea to jdreed
(relayed to Oliver) he strongly prefers that we stay out of support
- updated Linux self-help Wiki for Fedora 12
- requested additional mono packages for thirdpartysw metapackage
- did Stata webupdate
