Traditionally, Rocket Team is divided into subteams in order to logically divide research, development, and construction among team members. These subteams usually include:
- Propulsion
- Avionics
- Structures
- Composites
- Inner Structures
- Payload
- Recovery
However, these subteams are subject to change depending on the mission and project that year. Subteams are lead by one (maybe two) people that are responsible for managing the subteam and delegating tasks.
