The Ground Support/Launch Ops group is responsible for the launch preparations and operations for the project rocket, and can be asked for ground support/testing equipment from other subteams. 

Scope

  • Launch Trailer
  • Tools
  • Car planning – # cars, people/car, cargo assignments
  • On-site roles and responsibilities 
  • Rocket transport equipment (soft box or otherwise)
  • Launch tower transport
  • Tents, chairs, fans, tables, tarps
  • Solar panels
  • Food, water

Ground Support Equipment is any sort of machinery, tools, or stands that enable testing and launch operations. It is especially pertinent for testing engines. Good GSE enables you to both run a test and take data safely, without damaging property and the test article.
