The David Eccles School of Business’s Department of Operations and Information Systems at the University of Utah seeks to fill a tenure-track faculty position in operations management beginning July 2013. A Ph.D. in a relevant discipline such as operations management, operations research or industrial engineering is required. Preference is for a candidate at the assistant professor level, however truly exceptional candidates at other levels are also encouraged to apply. The successful candidate will be expected to produce high quality research in operations management. She or he will also be encouraged to collaborate as the opportunity arises with faculty in information systems, marketing and other departments and disciplines, including those outside the School of Business. In addition, the candidate will be expected to teach classes in operations management, with the possibility of teaching at all levels (undergraduate, MBA and PhD).
