ASIT Integration Procedure

ASIT Integration Procedure:

1. All PPE On

   
   

2. All modules of ASIT are detached

   
   

3. Attach donut to booster airframe using shear pins

   
   

4. Attach guide rods for springs to staging cone bulkhead

   
   

5. Integrate springs with rods to bulkhead

   
   

6. Run nichrome through attachment point on bulkhead, secure it

   
   

7. Repeat with electrical connections 

   
   

8. Align staging cone base with staging cone, and staging cone base bulkhead, attach screws

   
   

9. Align springs/rods with bulkhead, insert into donut bulkhead (and compress springs)

   
   

10. Attach safety pins

    
    

11. Tie nichrome to the donut bulkhead

    
    

12. Align sustainer with staging cone accordingly (relative to grooves), insert assembly
