CHAIRED ASSOCIATE/FULL FACULTY POSITIONSCHOOL OF COMPUTING, INFORMATICS AND DECISION SYSTEMS ENGINEERINGARIZONA STATE UNIVERSITY The Ira A. Fulton Schools of Engineering at Arizona State University seek outstanding applicants for the AVNET Chair in Supply Chain NetworksAreas of interest include: supply chain system design, reverse logistics, sustainable logistics or humanitarian logistics to grow our efforts in the important thrust areas of health and sustainability.The production systems group in the Fulton Schools of Engineering consists of faculty working on the design and operation of systems for providing goods and services from product concept through retirement. Projects include collaborative design, facilities logistics, global supply chain design, workforce planning, capacity analysis, on-line tracking and quality assurance, inventory planning and location.The successful candidate will hold an earned Ph.D. or equivalent in engineering, or related field. Required qualifications also include demonstrated evidence of excellence in research and teaching including a record of acquiring external funding and publication in top-tier journals with real-world impact.Faculty members are expected to develop an internationally recognized and externally funded research program, develop and teach graduate and undergraduate courses, advise and mentor graduate and undergraduate students and undertake service activities.Appointment will be at the associate or full professor rank, commensurate with the candidate’s experience and accomplishments, starting August 2013. Although the appointment may be in any of Fulton Engineering’s five schools, the Industrial Engineering program in the School of Computing, Informatics, and Decision Systems Engineering is currently the most involved in supply chains.Review of applications will begin November 1, 2012; if not filled, reviews will occur on the 1st and 15th of the month thereafter until the search is closed.
