Pyralis (2013-2015)

Pyralis was a liquid bipropellant rocket engine developed by the team for competition in the Advanced Category of IREC. The engine burns ethanol and nitrous oxide, and produces 2 kN of thrust at a chamber pressure of 8 MPa. The nozzle is an altitude-compensating aerospike made from machinable alumina ceramic. The combustion chamber is uncooled, and is made from 316 stainless steel insulated with zirconia ceramic.

Matt's portfolio has an article about Pyralis. Matt should write a proper wiki page for Pyralis.

AIIR and Sprite (2012-2013)

Project AIIR developed and launched a quadrotor payload called Sprite. The project was intended to compete in NASA USLI, but we were unable to have a successful test flight in time for the competition. Later, we did achieve a test flight which successfully deployed the quadrotor.

The CDR documents can be found on the old Rocket Team website. Matt should write a proper wiki page.
