Overview

Project Raziel is Rocket Team's first foray into the IREC SRAD Propulsion Category. Much of the architecture is based on Therion, as well as the infrastructure. It is designed to carry a rover to 10,000 ft and land it safely.

(Project Raziel flew for the first time at LDRS 36 at Higgs Farm in Maryland)

Vehicles

Raziel Pathfinder

Raziel Pathfinder was designed to be test flown in early December 2016. It was completed in November 2016. The vehicle used an E Glass composite structure with a West Systems epoxy. The fin can was in two components, joined by a coupler. The vehicle was designed to be single-sep, dual deploy, with a large quadcopter containing lander on top.

Raziel 1

Raziel 1 was the first flight vehicle in Project Raziel. It was switched to a dual separation architecture and uses a sabot to deploy the payload. The airframe was constructed from S glass and System 3000 epoxy from Fiberglast. The vehicle flew in Maryland at LDRS 36.
