Submission Requirements

Required Information

You choose what to include, but please write your thoughts in a way that is easy to understand. These may be as simple as "Why don't you do this?", to a fairly complete design specification or justification for a new/improved sub-system. Figures/sketches are a great way to communicate your ideas effectively.

Formatting

Please limit your submission to no more than three pages. Remember, we have to read every one, and we're doing so in our free time! Save your submission as a PDF, and upload it to us at this page.

Review Criteria

All ideas will be reviewed by the MIT team for technical merit and feasibility. The MIT team can accept or reject the ideas at its sole discretion.

Compensation (Payment) for Good Ideas

If we accept your idea to be included in the offshore floating nuclear power plant design, we will pay you $500-2,000, depending on the scope and impact of the idea! Winning ideas will be posted at this wiki. In case of overlapping winning ideas, the award will go to the earliest submittal.

Intellectual Property and Licensing of Ideas

MIT does not seek Intellectual Property (IP) for the ideas submitted to this wiki. However, the winning ideas will be posted, and thus become public, which may restrict the IP rights of the contributors.
